On March 1, Adam abruptly refused to participate in a community forum and answer questions after news of his corporate funding surfaced.

Over 70 community members attended as did all other candidates.

He then proceeded to publicly insult the organizers and forum, calling it a "sham." The debate was recorded here and discussed an array of policies critical to voters of the 13th District.

As a result, six elected community leaders representing every ward in the district condemned Adam with the following statement:
